Kwizzbit (www.kwizzbit.com and www.kwbit.com) is an interactive quiz and audience-participation platform played and operated in real time using a smartphone or internet-enabled device. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.
About us
Rocket Horse Limited operates under the trading name Kwizzbit and acts as the data controller for the information described here. We are committed to handling your personal information in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR). For any privacy enquiry you can reach us at info@kwizzbit.com.
How we obtain your data
We usually collect information when you register as a host or a player, or when you communicate with us. When a host sends invitations to players, Kwizzbit acts as a data processor on that host’s behalf.
Personal data we collect
Depending on how you use Kwizzbit, we may collect:
- Your player username
- Your first name and surname
- Your mobile phone number
- Your email address
- Your corporate account name, if applicable
- Website usage data, including your IP address
- Records of correspondence and customer-satisfaction contact
- Your marketing preferences
We use a third-party card processor, Stripe (www.stripe.com), to take payments. We do not store your full card details ourselves.
How we use your data
We use your personal data to:
- Fulfil our contract with hosts and players
- Respond to your enquiries
- Meet our legal record-keeping obligations
- Control access to, and protect the security of, our systems
- Gather feedback on our service
- Maintain your game history
- Publish results on our scoreboard — where we will only ever use your quiz name
- Send you promotional messages by email and in-app, where you have agreed to receive them
Sharing your data
We share your information with third parties only where it is contractually required and you have consented, or where we are legally obliged to. Our principal processors include Amazon Web Services and our analytics providers.
Security
We carry out regular IT-security and data-protection auditing, and we require all employees and contractors who handle personal data to complete appropriate training.
International transfers
Your personal information may be transferred to processors located outside the European Economic Area. Where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers, including for US-based services such as our email and analytics providers.
How long we keep it
We keep your data only for as long as necessary:
- For as long as needed to provide the service you have requested
- As a general standard, for seven years after our final contact with you
- For player data, typically two years after your final login
Where practical, we will give you the opportunity to be contacted before your data is deleted.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to analyse web traffic, recognise returning visitors, identify your browser and device, and operate web forms. You can enable or disable all non-essential cookies using the tool provided on our website. For full detail, see our Cookies Policy.

Under data-protection law you have the right to:
- Subject access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Withdraw consent — withdraw any consent-based processing at any time
- Data portability — ask us to transfer your data to another organisation
- Rectification — have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected
- Erasure — have your personal data deleted in certain circumstances
- Restriction — ask us to halt processing while retaining storage
- Object to processing — object to certain processing, such as direct marketing
- Prevent automated decision-making — avoid decisions made solely by automated means
To exercise any of these rights, contact our data-protection team at gdpr@kwizzbit.com.
